PEEP (Preschool Environmental Education Program)
PEEP Spring Session runs April 11 – May 19
Pre-registration will begin on Monday, February 27 for children currently enrolled in PEEP.
Pre-registration will begin on Monday, March 13 for children not enrolled in PEEP.
What do you do with a tail? If you were a salamander your tail would break off when a predator grabbed it, so you could get away. A Virginia opossum would will use its tail to wrap around a branch to keep its balance. And the skunk will use its tail to warn predators to stay back! Animal tails, birdwatching, and spiders are just a few topics your preschooler will learn about in the next session of PEEP!
Preschoolers meet once a week for six weeks and will discover a different nature-related topic as we share stories, encounter wildlife and explore the outdoors! Class sizes are limited to 10 children. Classes last 1.5 hours of mostly outdoor activity, so always dress your child for the weather (rain/winter coats, boots, hats, gloves, etc.) PEEP is geared specifically for children ages 3 – 5 years old, who are potty-trained (no pull-ups) and not attending Kindergarten (or being homeschooled for Kindergarten).
Classes are offered Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday mornings from 9:30 – 11:00am and Thursday afternoons from 1:00 – 2:30pm.
Cost for PEEP SPRING Session:
$55 for BNC Members/child
$75 for Nonmembers/child
