September’s topic: “Nature Detectives”

Did you know that spicebush swallowtail caterpillars have large eye spots that are not their real eyes!? These spots help them to look like snakes to avoid being eaten by birds. Most of the time, we can not see these creatures as they roll themselves up into leaves to hide. This is a good reminder that sometimes, we must take a closer look at nature to see the wonders that might go unnoticed around us. Join us as we explore the outdoors as “Nature Detectives”, meet live wildlife ambassadors, and do fun activities to uncover the hidden world of nature.
